Having enemies is not a problem for the Obama administration. It has a list of chosen enemies displayed proudly on its socialist sleeve like a badge of honor. The list is long and comprised of patriots who do not share the emperor’s vision for America. It includes successful businesses from Walmart to Chick-fil-A, right of center groups like the Tea Party and Christian Coalition, reporters and commentators from Fox News and conservatives, especially those who espouse traditional values.
Conservative Christians and Americans who make it without government handouts, in spite of outrageous government interference and punishing taxation on success, these are the enemies of proud, liberal Democrats.
Now something unexpected is happening to the list. Like every scandal spilling out of this administration, it is growing, but not in a way Barack the Divider can control or wants. New members are signing up by choice, theirs not his.
Average Americans, and some members of the media who spent the last five years carrying the President’s water, (insert Chris Mathews’ name here) are finally voicing anger over the Department of Justice intimidation of journalists and an Infernal Revenue Service that is run by liars and government thugs. Some are even now catching up to the truth about Benghazi.
The news is good and it gets better. Obamacare, the ill-conceived, uncontrollable, poisoned pill, the kingpin of President Obama’s legacy, is in obvious trouble. It is clear why former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in her typical state of idiocy said, “. . . .we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it. . . .”
That was, for Pelosi, another barf bag moment.
Madam Speaker got her wish. Congress passed it and voters, even some of the low information, knowledge challenged kind, are not happy. They’re turning against it in growing numbers.
Reality about costs, access to doctors and wait times for testing and treatment is setting in and it sucks.
A just released Fox News Poll of 1,013 random, registered voters from across the country, reveals that 56% wish to see a return to pre-Obama healthcare. While 26% of participants say their health care will improve under the Affordable Health Care Act, 53% say it will get worse. Another 13 percent don’t anticipate a difference either way.
Broken down along political lines, 85% of Republicans and 51% of Independents say they will be worse off under Obamacare. Less than half of Democrats (48%) expect improvement under the government system and 24% predict things will worsen. To ensure balance and fairness, the poll was taken by Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R).
The Robbins/Shaw/Fox poll isn’t the only harbinger of negativity for Obama’s health care nightmare. A story last week in the Washington Examiner outlined more bad news for Barack.
Reports from 17 of America’s largest insurance companies, including Aetna & Blue Cross Blue Shield along with the Kaiser Foundation, suggest that insurance premiums will increase by anywhere from 100 to 400 percent under Obamacare.
The boosters have kicked in and costs are on a rocket ride to the moon. Like Elvis, Obama’s pipe dream of full coverage, cheaper health care has left the building.
Americans who were hoodwinked by the Messianic smoke & mirrors act are beginning to pull their heads out of the fog. They’re changing sides recognizing the credibility of those on the enemies list.
Be sure to sign up. Being on that list is a badge of honor.
